For about 1.5 years, I helped my good friend Chris Brown rebuild (after a crash) his Zenith STOL CH750 experimental homebuilt kit aircraft.
This experience has become one of the most important educational experiences of my entire life. I learned just about every skill needed in the building of an aircraft. Metalworking, riveting, de-riveting, how to read plans, fit checking, and (most importantly) the overall methodology of building something extremely accurately with your hands and some tools.
